Arder Energy provides specialized consulting and training related to Canadian LNG value chain aspects.

We mainly support financial investors, traders, project developers and gas producers on commercial aspects. Through our extended network, we also provide expertise on technical and project management aspects.

Our core expertise areas include Project Economics, Tolling / Sale & Purchase Agreements, and Joint Venture Agreements. We focus on helping our clients to map out specific risk areas, like implications of Failure to Supply Feed Gas / Failure to Lift LNG / Start-up conditions. We then support the design of adequate mitigation measures, and support commercial negotiations.

Even “small” LNG agreements tend to have a headline size of hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars. We ensure that our clients are adequately prepared to manage both the upsides and the risks that come with LNG opportunities.

Deal Mapper Workshop

Planning for complex negotiations requires a solid understanding of the scenarios that the deal needs to cater for. Arder’s Deal Mapper workshops provide clients with the environment to identify those scenarios and map out the required deal elements in a time- and cost-effective manner. In the basic format, the actual workshop consists of two 4-hour sessions, and all activities can be completed within one work week.
